Join us on Thursday 17 May in Sydney for the Aus-PNG Network’s quarterly social event, designed to bring as many members of this diverse and talented group together as possible. This informal gathering is an excellent opportunity to make new connections with others interested in Papua New Guinea and the Australia–Papua New Guinea relationship.Leonard Blazeby, Head of Mission in Australia for the International Committee of the Red Cross, will speak about his organisation’s work with those affected by tribal violence in the PNG Highlands. Despite causing several deaths and leaving thousands displaced every year, these conflicts receive very little attention in Australia.Drinks and canapés will be served. All are welcome to come along to network and learn more about the relationship between Australia and Papua New Guinea.
