Join us for a conversation with Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, India’s External Affairs Minister and a person who has devoted his career to the practice and study of India’s foreign relations. Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar is the External Affairs Minister of India. He was Foreign Secretary from 2015 to 2018, Ambassador to the United States from 2013 to 2015, Ambassador to China from 2009 to 2013, High Commissioner to Singapore from 2007 to 2009 and Ambassador to the Czech Republic from 2000 to 2004. He is the author of a new book, The India Way: Strategies for an Uncertain World.
Dr Michael Fullilove AM is the Executive Director of the Lowy Institute. He writes widely on Australian and US politics and foreign policy in publications including The New York Times, Financial Times, The Atlantic and Foreign Affairs. Dr Fullilove is the author of several books including Rendezvous with Destiny: How Franklin D. Roosevelt and Five Extraordinary Men Took America into the War and into the World (Penguin).
